We help organisations improve their operational effectiveness and resilience by providing specialist training and support through:

Crew Resource Management. With experience in the aviation industry, as well as various branches of healthcare, we can tailor CRM to suit any organisation, particularly those that operate in a high-pressure environment.

Post Incident Support. We can deploy experienced and qualified practitioners who can support individuals and teams whose personnel have experienced traumatic and/or stressful events.

Peer Support Training. PSA Ltd offers programmes in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) including Assisting Individuals in Crisis and Group Crisis Intervention. Both programmes are accredited by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF). PSA also has instructors in Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) as part of our team who can advise and assist with selection of the appropriate form of peer support for your organisation.

Wellbeing and Resilience Training. We also offer targeted resilience training, adapted to the organisation we are partnering with. This can be stand-alone or in response to a challenging incident.

Accredited Interpersonal Mediation. We have AIM accredited mediators as part of our team and can respond at short notice to provide consultancy and support services.
Angela McGowan
Managing Director
Angela McGowan is the founder and managing director of PSA Ltd, a company that delivers training in the principles and practice of Crew Resource Management and post incident support. Serving 16 years in the Royal Navy’s Fleet Air Arm, as an Aircraft Commander in Sea King Helicopters, much of her military life was based at HMS Gannet undertaking Search and Rescue duties.
She has a specialised interest in the human effects of traumatic incidents and has trained in Critical Incident Stress Management and Trauma Risk Management. Continuously training to gain a wider understanding of peer support she is proud to have helped Mountain Rescue Scotland in creating their own system and in the last few years she has been working with National Air Traffic Services, ScotSTAR Emergency Medical Retrieval Service as well as NHS Ayrshire and Arran, NHS Lanarkshire, West Yorkshire Police, Airport Fire Officers Association and has trained some staff from SAS.
